Mark Leech's most recent book of translations, Anglo Saxon Voices, is published by Pipers' Ash Ltd . He won the Stephen Spender prize for poetry in translation in 2004 with his translation of The Dream of the Rood and was commended in 2006 for his translation of 'Lament for the bullfighter Ignacio Sanchez Mejias' by Lorca. He has had poems published in a wide range of magazines, including Wolf. He lives in Oxford.

His next work, London Water, which is a sequence of poems that relate events from Mark’s life to the old, now hidden, rivers of the city, will be published by Flarestack in early 2008.
